Faces of 8

Here is the first multimedia piece that I have been able to upload to my blog after months of trying to figure out how to do it. I hope you enjoy it and would appreciate any feedback.

If you would like to see it full screen, you just need to click on the arrows that are on the bottom right hand side of the box.

Drytown HDR

I have been wanting to take a photo of this post office again for a while to try an HDR with it. I got a chance to drive out to take another shot and I think it is ok but not what I was expecting. Drytown is a real town that is off of Highway 16 and you pass by it when you are driving out to Jackson.

Another HDR experience.

Well, after pulling my hair out for 5 nights, I was finally able to produce another HDR. I was having problems with the merging of the photos and then spoke to someone in my Photography class about it. She gave me some good hints and this is what came out of it.

I took this photo at the Scottish games a few weeks ago which was held at the Yolo County Fair Grounds in Woodland CA my hometown. I really love how the guys face just kind of pops out at you. I know it still needs a little more work but for the learning experience it is a keeper.

HD Encounter

Here is another HD that I took a few weeks ago for a class and really like this one and how the bricks came out so orange and really pops out at you.

HD Encounter

I finally got a chance to play around with something that has interested me for a few months now and that is the world of HD. I was driving home the other day and saw this sign on I-80 that has always caught my attention and saw it as a perfect photo to try an HD. I know there is still some work to be done to it but I like how it came out for a first run.

What do you think?

Mom's 60th Bday party

I was the official photographer ;) at my mom's 60th birthday party. There was a lot of people there all having a very good time. The music was a good mixture of Mexican dance and American classics which I love.

I put together a little slide show showing photos of my mom throughout her life from childhood to the present. A lot of the people really like it.

Here are a few of the photos I took during the night.

I just love the one of my mom and dad dancing.
